Bio

Ive been interested in family history since I was a young girl.
I remember visiting cemeteries on decoration day. I was at the grave of my great grandmother , and my great grandfather
He was buried between his two wives.
I asked my grandmother where her mother'sparents were buried. She didn't know. She knew a few of the names in our family .
There were no computers back then. I married, raised three kids and worked full time. Finally the age of personal computers came.
After I retired., I started my quest for my family history. I found the graves of my g g grandparents and ggg grandparents. I wished my grandmother had been alive when I found them.
She would have been so happy. We decorate those graves. I'm thrilled my mother has been able to visit those graves. They are like a treasure to us. We love family history.
My search includes the Woods Hamblin Young Hill Monhollen Rapier Lawson Faulkner to mention a few names.
Anderson also everyone married into different families.
I have learned so much about my family history. But I always want to learn more. So my journey into genealogy continues.
Currently I am in the quest of finding my ancestors graves listed as burial unknown.
The late Elzic Hamblin and Stella Mae Woods Hamblin are my Grandparents. They lived in Williamsburg Ky. They are buried in Maple Creek Cemetery.
