I'm a retired nurse. I love researching and hunting for the resting places of relatives and friends that may have been displaced for a moment, but ever truly lost. If I can help, give me a "digital" jingle!
The FAG has rules and regulations. I make every effort to comply with those requirements, but at sometime, being human, I may make a mistake. Please be patient with me, a child of one of the Lesser Gods.
So here are my rules for my postings -
a. If a picture is posted for your loved one that has my name attached to it, you have my permission to use it, or recycle it under the guideline of the FAG.
b. If I have taken a picture, but you would like a better one, just let me know and I will strive to get a better shot. I do not clean sites with anything stronger than water or a broom. I have a fear of destroying beautiful stones for future observers. In addition, I do not own those markers, so I feel I must treat them as I would anyone else possessions.
c. I am not doing this for the numbers. I am not interested in playing Gravesite Bingo with anyone. But there seems to be a darker side to FAG. For what purpose does one collect grave memorials? I know what FAG expects for a transfer....I'm not sure how to secure proof of the first degree of consanguinity before transferring a memorial. All I know if those memorials are related to me by any degree, I want to bring them home. I think others may feel the same.
d. If you request a photo, please be so kind as to supply the correct spelling of the person's given name. If its in the bio and the obit as Thomas R.Smyth, then please make sure the request is for this name and not Butter Ball Smyth. It may help ensure increased success in obtaining the photo you would like to have on the memorial page.
