Bio

For as long as I can remember someone in my mother's family has been interested in genealogy. My mother and her 2 sisters joined the DAR based on descent form William Archer Lipscomb who was a private with the Virginia 4th Regiment for 2 years. My mother's 2 sisters kept lots of hand written records of our ancestors and their siblings and descendants of siblings. But I don't know where those records went when they died. Except for 1 notebook which i made a photocopy of before Florence died. In the last 8-10 years I have become more interested and have created a tree on ancestry.com. 4 or 5 years ago I discovered wikitree.com and have started adding profiles of my family members there. In the last year I have started adding my family tree to familysearch.org. Wikitree prefers to refer to sources on familysearch.org because it is free and everybody can go look there rather than ancestry.com because it is subscribed and not everyone can afford the subscription price. I keep adding family members to my trees and hope to add a few more generations up before I pop off myself. I've never married nor had children, biological, adoptive, foster, step or any other kind. I've had some fur children of the feline persuasion in the past but none at the moment.
