Bio

I prefer exercise with a dual purpose, and this is another excuse to take a walk.

Gravestone photographs are provided for your benefit, so please feel free to use them as you wish.*

Family surname variations: Gillespie, Gillispie, Glasby, Glaspie, Glaspy.

When searching for individuals, it is particularly helpful to see at least the year of one's birth and death. There is a "tombstone birthday calculator" online which will calculate the decedent's birth date if you know the age and date of death.

Regarding death certificates: I don't understand why anyone would object to an original or direct source for the information which appears in a memorial; any supporting documentation is better than none. I post most of the death certificates I find because they contain invaluable information and serve as the best evidence of the life and death of the individual. Death certificates can confirm the identities of persons linked together or help eliminate individuals as potential family. According to FaG: "Find a Grave allows death certificates in the photo section of a memorial page. We will remove death certificates per request from immediate family members (parent, children, sibling, and spouse)."

*Personal photos, family photos may NOT be used without permission and, if granted, must reference source.
