Bio

I am a Vallejo Family Tree researcher in Austin, Texas, you can even call me a genealogist. I study the history of Vallejo families who migrated from Monterrey and the Villa de Santiago to Texas cities and towns to include Austin, Creedmoor, New Braunfels, El Campo, Victoria, San Antonio and other Central Texas locations.I began my studies about 2003 and have now linked our Vallejo families to as far back as 1658 to General Antonio Fernandez Vallejo who is the founder of the Vallejo name out of Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Most of my ancestors are from Monterrey and surrounding areas like Los Cristales, La Estanzuela, San Roque, Santa Catarina, San Nicolas de Los Garzas and the Villa de Santiago. I have been to Monterrey 3 times, twice as a teenager and the last time in 2005 as an adult. I have walked through countless of cemeteries looking for graves and once was called a "cemetery walker" by someone. I even had the police called on me once because others thought I looked "suspicious", imagine that.I thought it was finally a good idea to put some of this experience to good use on this website.I also have included research into a few other well known surnames from Nuevo Leon such as Almaguer, Marroquin, Saenz and Tamez. In Findagrave I have found that adding a GPS to each headstone location will help another Findagrave user locate that headstone in the "satellite mode".I am also a user of Familysearch.org and continuously update my Family trees there too.
