Years ago when I moved to The Netherlands from my native California a relative sent me information concerning possible Dutch ancestors. I looked for records without success in the national and Amsterdam archives. When my niece shared with me her interest in our family history I caught the bug. It turns out that my gg grandmother, Margaret van Etten and father, Coonrod Huffman were actually born in New York. I have not yet been able to establish who their parents were. My primary interest remains the Dutch connection.
