My journey to search my roots began over 20 years ago. I became intrigued when I realized my Scottish and Irish heritage was "in my blood". However, that was just the beginning. My ancestors became more than just a name in a tree to me. I wanted to know where they came from, how they got here, and how this all trickled down to my family, as I am one of the last 4 Shivers in my family. The boys in my generation had no sons, so the name Shivers is coming to a sad end in the next several years. My goal is to preserve as much information as I possibly can for the interest of my children and perhaps, other Shivers family members.
