Bio

Most of my ancestors are buried in Hamilton, Jefferson, and Effingham County in Illinois, and my husband and I have been to many cemeteries in those counties to photograph and document gravestones.
Family names I am researching: Allen, Biggerstaff, Lane, Pierce, Ray, Campbell, Liebengood/Leibengood, Hutchison, Smith, Wyckoff, Musson, and many others.

I generally will transfer memorials outside of the Findagrave guidelines, if I am not related. Please just ask!

Many thanks to those who send in edits. I am always appreciative of any information that others may have, that I have not already added.

If you add a photo of a person to Findagrave that you did not take, but you have downloaded from Ancestry, PLEASE kindly give its attribution. I find many photos that I have personally added to Ancestry, that are used on my memorials, without giving the provenance. Where a picture originated can be important. It's a way of documenting the past, and of honoring those people who originally posted it. Thanks!

Findagrave is a great way to get started with family history. I have met many kind people through this site, and have also been able to meet many distant cousins in person who are also members. Let's all work together to remember those who came before us!
