Bio

I love history especially Mayo or Reasoner families. My daddy was born in 1889, me 1951. Most of what I know about daddy's family I read or researched. My sister Edna Agee, now deceased, was a genealogist and established many of the Mayo records that are used by so many folks today. Her work was accomplished before computers and she did not drive so her partner in research was her husband Otto who spent days and weeks, driving her to various courthouses in Texas and elsewhere. She had a definite positive influence on me with regard to my interest in history. Around 2013, I met a cousin, Michael G Mayo of California who is very savvy on Mayo history as well as all kinds of information about Palo Pinto and other counties in Texas and USA. What a joy and privilege to meet and know Michael and his family.
My goal is to help find and establish information where it is missing, especially in cemeteries. Not just Mayo/Reasoner, but anything I run across where I feel I can add value. I am very active and busy with volunteer organizations and projects, but Find A Grave is something I added to my life because I love it. I am a member of Palo Pinto County Historic Commission and enjoy the work we do in preserving the history of our beautiful county.
