I am a WA State native, former social worker- turned- academic librarian and community college research instructor. I developed a strong interest in genealogy in 2011 while learning about geneology resources in graduate school. This turned into a hobby and passion once I starting digging into the past and realized I did not even know my (deceased) grandfather's name! Neither of my parents were overly close to family and never felt the need to discuss ancestry in depth. I now love to share all I've learned with my family, especially the old news articles and stories I have come across.
