Genealogy is my one true passion. It doesn't matter if I find family for myself or a stranger, I'm am absolutely thrilled when I find someone or something new. Although I've always like old things and had done some research into our family history, there is definite starting point form me. I was first seriously bit by the genealogy bug around 2000. My sister had been researching our father's family and asked me if I wanted to make a trip to New York. We went there to visit our Uncle and do some research at the local historical society. Since that time, when time and money allow, I research my family history. I keep plugging away and finding little pieces to my tree. I'm concentrating on the direct links back from my parents and don't move into extended family much... there would be way too much to do if I did that too.
