I've really appreciated the genealogy clues I've found here on Find A Grave. I'm especially grateful for the photographs. I've found that in addition to photos of individual markers, pictures of gravestones and monuments in the immediate surrounding area can help fill in missing leaves on the family tree.

Since such photos were helpful to me, I wanted to reciprocate, and so began taking photos to fill requests as well as simply to add more info to Find A Grave. I always photograph anything nearby that I suspect is related. I've even done mini trees on ancestry.com to connect the family members whose markers I photographed because they were apparently related. I don't rely entirely on existing trees, but always obtain multiple sources.

This has enabled me to add photos, dates, birth-places, full names, etc., to existing FAG memorials, and even to create a few new ones.

I will be happy to transfer the memorials of those who are not my family to someone who is. Just send a note and say how you're related.

As I'm sure is true of others, the time I have available to contribute to Find A Grave varies depending on what else is going on in my life at any given time, so I may be inactive here at times. I do check my email regularly, though, and will so my best to respond to any messages received. If you don't hear back, I have somehow missed your message, so do try again.

I'm happy for you to use my photos for non-profit genealogical or family purposes. I would appreciate, but obviously cannot demand, credit and notification saying you're using them and for what purpose. It's encouraging to know one's contribution is helpful!
