I retired from teaching math after 30+ years almost 10 years ago...my husband got me interested in my family history and to date I have 12 large binders on both maternal and paternal history. I really love finding information about people...especially when some kind soul posts the fact-filled obit.

I also do photography as a hobby so taking grave stone images is easy. I am totally an amateur when it comes to putting things on this site, but figure I will learn.

I live near Galveston Texas and would much rather be inside in the summertime (which is 9 months long) than outside in the heat / humidity, which gives me lots of time to "search"....
