Find a Grave ID

Bio

I am a "transplant" to Texas. I moved here from Maine (had never lived anywhere else) in December of 2016.

I have personally gone to any cemetery that I make suggestions about. My suggestion is what is actually on the grave stones or markers.

I also go to a local library and go through any books I can find about the cemeteries.

Sadly, after years of doing this down here, I have told my son please don't bury me in a cemetery that only allows flat stones. (I would prefer not to be at all but know some day it has to happen.) I have seen to many that are getting buried by dirt and debris or that have been driven over and broken by the tractors when they are going to dig another grave. Also, there are way too many veterans' stones disappearing into the ground. It would be nice if the military organizations that enjoy their dances and get togethers would get out and find these and clear them before it is too late. I have cleared several and pray they stay cleared but deep down I know they won't.
