I have been a long time family historian who learned under my mother who was herself an expert genealogist who accumulated decades of research. After she retired she gave all that work for me to continue. At the time, it seemed like so much work and I didnt know where to start.
My work finally began when I used the information I had to connect as many family grave pages as I could like a puzzle. It was my hope that other relatives seeking answers and family could easier find each other by doing this. Many of the graves I'll never be able to visit, but I've been able to see them and have a sense of closure thanks to volunteers, and that has always been a comfort.

In time, I wanted to give back and so began photographing as many grave stones as I could in my home state of South Dakota. I believe in giving closure and comfort to others, even if it's an umarked plot of grass I will help you see the resting place of your ancestors.

Currently, I live in Bellefourche and my normal areas are Pine Slope in Bellefourche, Rosehill Cemetery in Spearfish, Whitewood Cemetery in Whitewood, Bear Butte Cemetery in Sturgis, and the BHNC in Sturgis.

Surnames on my maternal side of the family include: Carson, Czeski, Doyle, Fredericksson, Gustafson, Lemke, Lindeneau, Keating , Miller, Parkinson, Schnapp, and White.
