The first known ancestors of mine to arrive in North America from Europe were John Warren (1585-1667) and family, who came to Watertown, Massachusetts from County Essex, England in 1630 during the Great Puritan Migration. The most recent to arrive was my father (1913-2006), who came to the United States from Canton Bern, Switzerland with my grandmother (1890-1918) in 1915.

TRANSFERS - If you are more directly related than either my wife or myself to anyone whose memorial I manage, and you would like management transferred to you, all you need do is ask. Likewise, with a few exceptions, I will happily transfer any and all memorials for persons unrelated either to my wife or myself.

PHOTO VOLUNTEER - I am a photo volunteer, fulfilling photo requests at the Sunset View Cemetery and the Golden Gate Mausoleum & Columbaria in El Cerrito, CA and the Northbrae Community Church Columbarium in Berkeley, CA. CORPORALS OF THE WORLD - My late father, who served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, had an expression for the self-annoited, self-appointed enforcers of rules and regulations down to the minutiae. He called them "the corporals of the world," a corporal being the lowest-ranking non-commissioned officer in the military. Trust me, I've crossed paths with a few "corporals" on Find a Grave! That being noted, you have my full, complete, express permission to use anything contained in the memorials I manage for whatever lawful purpose. I do not need credit for anything I contribute to your memorials.
