Bio

My mother is Cleo Lynch Crossland. My father was George Norman Crossland.

I am looking for information about my mother's parents William Lynch and Sara(h)Martin (or possibly Marten) Lynch. Her sister was Mary "Clessy" Moore. Cleo's parents died when she was around 4 years old; I believe they lived in the Eufala or Crowder area of Oklahoma. Cleo also had at least 2 brothers, Roy and Hershel. They may have been half brothers from her father's first marriage.

Sara(h)is said to have been Chowtaw though not on any tribal lists. It's said that she traveled the trail of tears from Alabama to Oklahoma; the family refused to be registered on any government roll due to that experience.

William Lynch was married twice; his first wife's name is unknown. She is also believe to be Native American, tribe unknonwn. He is said to have come from Northern Ireland to Oklahoma to find work.
