I am a native Oregonian. My father's family lived in NC, SC and TN, and my mother's family in Iowa, Nebraska and, for a short time, Alberta, Canada. The families moved to Oregon about the same time; my parents lived across the road from each other.

Since childhood I have been interested in "who" I am and where I came from: I was told I was Scotch, Irish, Welsh, English, Dutch, French and Indian.
And I actually am all of those, and German.

Genealogy has become something of an obsession, and I require accuracy in compiling data. Hence, my desire to be an editor.
