Bio

Born in Elmira, NY, so alot of several sides of my family are from there or Bradford County, PA. Am able to give more info on my family (the Hammonds, children of Stephen & Aeline) that isn't in some of the records, including in-laws and "out-laws"! Can no longer drive due to health reasons, but would be willing to take pictures for folks in Vanderburgh County, or biography info in Gibson &Posey Counties. Evansville, IN has the only WWII LST ported here, & was one of several cities that built them. The LST 325 was one of its kind that took part in the attack on Normandy.

I have relatives buried in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads, Woodlawn & Woodlawn National in Elmira, & several cemeteries in Bradford County, as well as a relative in Maple Grove Cemetery in Candor, NY. My families that I've done research on are Robinson, Hammond, Holcomb, Fries, Beardslee, & probably some I've forgotten. Don't know much about the Robinson side, & neither do the only 2 cousins I have who are still living. To those of you who take the photos, etc. in Chemung & surrounding Counties, thank you. I knew a 2nd great grandmother died between 1860 & 1870, but was not sure when, until I saw the date on this site. For me, another mystery solved!! However, I've a number more to go.

Sorry I can't do more, but our local geneology library has alot of info for nearly every state, and I'd be willing to do some other forms of research.
