Find a Grave ID

Bio

I just started doing genealogy a few years ago, so I am very new to all of this. It is an interesting hobby. Something I would love to have more time to do, but at this busy time in my life with two little kids, it is something I can do only every now and then as a part-time hobby.

I discovered Find a Grave through Ancestry, and have found a new hobby! I want to be able to help others so I volunteer when I can to take photos of graves, especially at Rock Island National Cemetery as I drive by it every day when I go to work. I also want to photograph all of the little, small country cemeteries that are not totally photographed yet. I find it a peaceful time when I am out looking at graves trying to document any that do not have pictures. I have found it very helpful to see photos that others have posted of my ancestors.

I am most interested in the names - Bristol, Riley, Wigant, Hagens, Enyeart, Cox, Taets, Lievens. And I am also interested in the names along my husband's side for the benefit of my sons - Gentry, DeRoo, Clark and Downs.
