Iris was the goddess of the rainbow, a messenger for Zeus and Hera who rode the rainbow as a bridge from heaven to earth.

As well as in remembrance of anyone connected by blood or marriage, the Iris' left by me are also in acknowledgement and appreciation of each contributor.

There seems to be much confusion regarding the Rookwood Cemetery, and it is not helped by Find A Grave's adopted title of "Rookwood Necropolis aka Rookwood Cemetery" for the General cemetery sections.

It maybe technically correct, but ONLY in as much as the WHOLE of the Rookwood cemetery complex is known as the 'Rookwood Necropolis,' as displayed at the main entrance, but it is formally/officially known as the 'Rookwood Necropolis Trust' (Necropolis meaning "City of the Dead") under which banner, are four distinct Trusts, each run as separate entities., and it is therefore incorrect to allot
"The Necropolis aka Rookwood Cemetery" specifically to the Rookwood General Cemetery sections., and by doing so causes confusion and results in contributors defaulting to "The Necropolis" rather than, say, the Rookwood Catholic Trust, which in turn results in thousands of duplications. I have advised FaG accordingly.

The four Trusts are:
