Bio

I am currently working on photographing headstones and completing memorials for Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford, Norfolk County, Ontario, with the help of my son who is a brilliant and talented photographer in his own right.

To those sending edits: If I ask, please include factual proof for the edits you're submitting. On too many occasions, I've received incorrect information which is frustrating and defeats the purpose of Find A Grave. I try to check the accuracy of all edits received, but sometimes I'm unable to verify the edit with the sources I have access to. If your edit is correct and can be backed up with proof, it shouldn't be an issue.

Copied obits: FG discourages the use of copy and paste obituaries, and those that include the names of the living. IF I have time, I rewrite them to omit last names of the living, and to avoid copywrite infringement.

Headstone photos: If you didn't take the photo yourself, it isn't yours to do with as you wish, especially photos that have an obvious copywrite/watermark symbol. Posting photos from other websites is discouraged by FG. READ THE RULES! If I notice that you have posted a photo from another site on a memorial I manage, I will politely ask you to remove it immediately. Also, removing a photographer's watermark and posting their photo as your own is wrong! I will report those also.

For anyone stealing photos (and yes, you ARE stealing!) from the Canada GenWeb Cemetery Project site to post of FG, READ THEIR RULES under Photo Permissions, specifically "May I take photos from this website and put them on Find A Grave"! The answer is "No. Doing so violates both our policy and Find a Grave's Community Rules. If you didn't take the photo, don't own the photo, or don't have prior permission from the photographer, you don't have the right to post the photo(s) anywhere."

And finally, to fellow contributors who are polite and respectful in their communications with me, thank you! To those who aren't, don't message me. I won't respond.

So many beautiful cemeteries are being ruined and destroyed in the name of 'modernization' and 'progress,' that recording and photographing all we can while we have the chance may be the only way to ensure that their unique beauty and history is protected and preserved for others to enjoy in the future.
