I have been researching my family lines since 1995. I started my research in my late 20's and was always the "youngster" at the research libraries. Now, 28+ years later, I am still the youngster at the genealogy department, but now I have the experience of hunting down leads that I didn't have before. My genealogy goal is to update/rewrite the family history book that was written by a distant cousin in 1928. My motivation? He left out my entire branch! It's all good, though - it's been a fun ride! My main surnames are THOMPSON-ANDERSON-STEBBINS-SHARROCK-SMITH-MILLER-O'HARA-HILL-ESTEP-JOBE with my main focus of SHARROCK.My main project is a compilation of the descendants of James Sharrock (1750-1826), and I am currently working generation by generation to try to find information as far down the lines as my fifth cousins. I am also a member of the Akron, Ohio, Chapter of the DAR, as well as the Ohio Genealogical Society, and the Friends of Woodlawn Cemetery (Wadsworth, Ohio).
