I have been interested in genealogy for over thirty years. I am a direct decendant of Philip Myers (1775-1830's) and Jane Chapman Myers Higgins (1785-1839) from Edwards and Richland Counties in Illinois. They had two boys, John Myers (1808-1852) and William R. Myers (1812-1877). I am a direct descendant of John Myers. I have always wanted to know more about the William R. Myers family line, to know if they know more about John and William's parents, more than what we do. This is a far back as my family has been able to research. We haven't been able to locate Jane Chapman Myers Higgins grave in Illinois or John Myer's wife Christine Hedrick Myers from Rowan, Co. NC. We know Christine or Christina Myers died on April 4, 1842 in Illinois.
