I have been researching family history for over 20 years now. My interest really started when my son was working on his genealogy merit badge for Boy Scouts. He needed to make a family tree, and on my wife's side there was documentation going back at least 300 years, while I knew nothing past my grandparents! So, I took up the challenge to rectify that, and it has become rather a passion. We started travelling across the country, visiting literally hundreds of libraries, cemeteries, and courthouses. I used Find A Grave for 10 years or so before I decided to become a member and start adding information. That decision was precipitated when I realized someone else had posted my parents!
