My brother, David Dwayne Sparks was a complete Genealogy expert. He was consumed with it and he travelled all over the country to visit graveyards and libraries or vital statistics offices just to obtain more information (he had to be able to touch the paperwork or gravesite to really absorb the information).

However, when he passed away in November 2015, I picked up his torch (and his volumes of documentation) and am now obsessed myself. I really don't know how he got me so interested in the last few years of his life, but I knew that ALL of his time, money and passion couldn't just die with him.

I have to say that being the now family historian, it feels like a privilege and honor to pass what I learn onto the next generation.

My family tree has many, many branches and I am honored to be able to maintain their memorials. Find A Grave is a wonderful tool, as long as the information is correct, and I strive to ensure that the memorials that I create and maintain are as accurate as possible.
