I was born in rural western Kentucky. I am a Grandpa, Husband, Golfer, Techno-Geek, Reader, World Traveler, Aging Boomer, Musician, and Would-be Philosopher (roughly in that order.) I occasionally read fiction but mainly social science, economics, biography, philosophy and history. I am a techno-geek who grew up with a HAM radio on the kitchen table. In retirement I have become very interested in genealogy (especially via DNA testing & discovery), historic preservation and energy conservation. I'm learning to play the Banjo and writing a family history. I love to play golf with my buddies but the most important thing in my life is family; my wife and best friend since 1966, my three sons and my nine grandchildren.
