Bio

I'm originally from Eastern Maine, currently living in Maryland.

Cataloging the extended Pennell family from eastern Maine. (Pennell, Bridges, Jordan, Richardson, Getchell, Bowker, McReavy...) - My father's side.

And the extended Throop Family, mostly in New York State. (Throop, Tyler, Moate, Hill, Clark, Bourne, Douglass...) - My mother's side.

A BIG THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who have helped me track down information, or snapped a photo or two (or ten) for me!

I've often gone to a cemetery looking for one marker, and found many more that I'd been disappointed weren't on find-a-grave. It's often possible to confirm or discover relationships from shared plots or inscriptions.

For these reasons, whenever I photograph a stone (whether for my own family or to fulfill a "random" photo request here) I photograph nearby stones as well. For smaller cemeteries, if I have time I will walk and photograph the entire cemetery. If there are multiple names on a marker, I will upload the photo to ALL of them, even if you didn't make an "official" request.

Please send edits and transfer requests through the Edit tab. If you are related to any of my memorials I will transfer management outside Find-A-Grave guidelines unless it is a more direct relative of mine.

I research every fact I submit, please feel free to ask me for my sources. I keep track of them in a separate tree on ancestry.com

When you submit an edit, I will try to confirm it through sources available on Ancestry.com. If I find I can't, I will contact you.

It's ok to use my photographs on other ancestry websites - credit greatly appreciated, thanks!

On August 21, 2016, I Took 450+ photos at Whitneyville Cemetery, I'm still in the process of slowly adding. One section of the cemetery remains. If anyone wants to do it and avoid duplicating where I've photographed, it is the front section on the right when entering the cemetery, circled here: https://goo.gl/photos/tNv5co4eBnJF1WT26
Otherwise, I'll do it when we return to Maine in August 2017!
