I joined Find A Grave in 2016. I just recently relaunched my work on the family history for myself and my husband's families, after taking an extended sabbatical. I am grateful for the memorial pages that have been created by others here as it has helped fill in some of the gaps. The grave site photos are much appreciated and add a very tangible dimension to the virtual research. Although I am still learning to navigate through this site, I do hope to be able to help others find their family members as well.

When I begin creating memorial pages for others that are not part of my own family tree, I will be happy to transfer those pages to their family members as I feel that their rightful place is with FAMILY and not a stranger.

My hope is that other members will remain open to transferring memorials too. In my opinion, there should be no excuse for someone to refuse a transfer if the person requesting is an actual family member or a closer relation.
