Bio

Happily-married (to the bestest wife ever!), retired public school teacher who formerly lived in Southern Mississippi, but is now at home in Egypt. TX. Father of the most incredible daughter ever and the most fabulous semi-adopted son ever! I was born in 1955 in McComb, Pike County, MS. Moderate Democrat. Interests are the German language (family originally German), language in general, etymology, Shakespeare, Southern/Confederate history, and genealogy. Proud member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans (www.mississippiscv.org) since 1995. Current Confederate Heritage project: documenting every possible Confederate Patriot's grave in MS. All of my by-county Confederate Graves Reports (and associated CS service records) are online at www.mississippiscv.org/burial-reports. At the bottom of that page, you will also find a link to the MS Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans' Confederate Graves Registry. I urge everyone in these divisive times to seek peace and understanding and to realize that every people has a unique history and heritage that deserves to be told fully, in context, and without prejudice or stereotype because every people has been both slaves and slave-masters.
