I am the Co-Founder & Executive Board Member of the Martinez Cemetery Preservation Alliance (MCPA) martinezcemetery.org. Our organization was built to beautify, preserve and advocate for the Alhambra Pioneer Cemetery in Martinez, California. I am also a Board Member of the Contra Costa County Genealogy Society.

The Alhambra Pioneer Cemetery decedent lists have not been updated for a very long time and descendants were getting misinformation from the owners. I decided to take on restoring the lists 3 years ago and have found 479 misspelled names, 800+ missing decedents, and 78 names to numbered markers in Potter's Field.

Every descendant has a right to find their ancestors and every decedent should have a voice. That is my goal.
