I have been working on family trees for over 30 years. I love this site and have used it as a source.
My daughter, Bethany, and I enjoy going to cemeteries and finding the graves that have photo requests.

These cards were compiled by volunteers decades ago and are at Stuhr museum in the research department - you need to make an appointment and they do not check them out. It really is just an index of the burials. For more information, you need to find an obit or check with the cemetery of funeral home if known and if still around.

Julie,

I originally started entering information off of burial cards we have at the Stuhr Museum. It may have come from another contributor. I have a lot of memorials and have been doing this for a while - kind of hard to remember them all. I will transfer what I can figure out. If I miss something, please send a specific request in the edit tab. Kay

G.W. Horton
Hi Julie,
I added the obit notice I found at the Linn County Genealogy Society to Mr. Horton's memorial, but I don't think he's a relation of mine. Sometimes, if I can add something that can't be found in another way I'll add it to a memorial and write to people through ancestry.com to show that there's new info about a relative that may have meaning for them. Trees as recorded on a site can be aided by info contained in memorials on findagrave.com. I try to record from what newspaper they have come, and will take down any obits if required by findagrave. Privacy may indeed be a matter of consideration if the obits contain names of those still living. I'm glad seeing the obit for Mr. Horton was helpful.

John & Olga Peterson

Thank you for adding your photos of the Peterson' grave markers.

Olga' grave marker photo though is counter-clockwise on her memorial. Please correct.
