I've been doing genealogy research for over 10 years and in late 2016 discovered Find-A-Grave, and got hooked on it. I don't have nearly as much time as I'd like to spend on this!

I am a photo volunteer for Carter County, TN, where I have lived since 1984. Our county seat is Elizabethton and some of the surrounding communities are Hunter, Stoney Creek, Siam, Gap Creek, and Valley Forge. As I'm able to I will also look for gravestones in other areas of the county.

As others have said, don't give up on a photo request if you don't get a quick response. I have found that some graves are impossible to locate due to severe wear and/or damage. Please feel free to copy/share/save any photos I've posted. I only ask that you give credit to the photographer, please.

I greatly appreciate the efforts of those who have entered memorials for family members that I've found here and I wish to return that kindness by adding info and memorials as I am able to do so.

TRANSFERS: At this point, the memorials I maintain are all relatives. If you are a closer relative than I, I'll transfer. If I have no connection and you have any connection, I'll transfer. Use "Suggest a Correction" under the "Edit" tab on the memorial page to send me a transfer request.
