I am married to the eldest great grandchild of William Luke, Louise Luke Rohde. We live in NH and have visited Talledega College and Oak Hill Cemetery several times over the past 15 years.

In 2006 we met with Gene Howard, the author of the book, Death At Cross Plains, which was an account of William Luke's coming to Alabama and his hanging by the Ku Klux Klan at Cross Plains which was renamed Piedmont in 1888.
