I started my quest by finding an old ledger of a great, great Aunt Harriet Jane Markey (Markee). She was 62 years old when she wrote her account of there migration across the Northern states. This ledger almost got lost forever, there was no cash value so it was thrown in a trash upon mother's passing. There are so many treasures in its bindings that can be shared.Places events and townships established, churches started, slaves that we mentioned as they passed through there homesteads. And the best- family lines going back to the first 2 ,1/2 brothers that came over by ship in 1774 William Markey married Margaret Holland. There is where Great Aunt Harriet started in the ledger.I am new to this but will help with Markee and Eastman questions to the best of my ability mostly in the1900 and earlier.I will not be looking to get number of headstones, just family and people directly connected to me.
