David Richard Rodwell was born 1st April 1929 in Charbon NSW Australia (the first son of Stephen David Cornelius Rodwell and Violet Florence Rodwell nee Bennett).

Stephen David Cornelius Rodwell was the only son of Samuel Richard Rodwell. Samuel was a son of David Cornelius Rodwell (B: 1838 Clarence Plains, Hobart Tasmania Australia) .

David Cornelius Rodwell was the first son of DAVID RODWELL (B:1819) son of THOMAS RODWELL (B:1778) a shoemaker; St Edmunds Parish, Salisbury Wiltshire England.

Parents of THOMAS RODWELL were SAMUEL RODWELL and Mary Ward. THOMAS RODWELL married Martha Elton. Their son DAVID RODWELL (B:1819) was transported to Hobart Tasmania (Van Diemen’s Land) Australia , age 18, aboard the ship Lord William Bentinck (2) in 1838.

David Rodwell later married ROSINA HAMMOND (B: Chelmsford Essex England). She was transported VDL 1844. They seem to have followed the goldrush when they moved to Victoria on mainland Australia in 1851.
