Bio

I am a 70 year old retired software engineer for a local technology company. I started getting serious about investigating my family tree several years ago.

I am a Davis on my Father's side and a Parker on my mother's side, so I am doing research into both. My father's family comes mainly from Coryell Co., Texas and includes Coskreys, Kinseys, and Morgans. A lot of Irish blood that came through the Carolinas, Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Massachusetts. But I have also discovered Welsh, English, and Dutch lines as well. The Kinseys probably were originally from Ireland

My maternal grandmother was born in Canada of Scots (Kennedy) who had immigrated to Canada the later to Washington State. My maternal grandfather was originally from Tennessee but joined the Navy and moved around a lot. His lineage seems to go back to Ireland and England as well, with significant ancestors in Virginia.

I use My Heritage to keep track of my ancestors and as a basis for my research. I came across Find-a-Grave in my research and it has become one of my go-to resources.
