I enjoy hunting down your ancestor's burial site and photographing their place of rest for you. I started doing this as a 'pay it forward' when I needed to request photos of my ancestors' graves. If I don't find any requests within my 5-10 mile radius, I'll look 25 miles out. If the weather is good, off I go.

I use a very soft cloth to gently remove any twigs, leaves or loose dirt from the grave marker or headstone. Anything more may damage the marker. I try my best to block out shadows and will always take at least two pictures--a full shot and a close up. Be sure to leave a flower for your loved one. It's free.
