I am an ARD Facilitator who became interested in genealogy research a few yews back when a niece joined Ancestry.Com to ask family questions and whereas I knew some, others I sadly had vague to nil knowledge. That was my defining moment in which I realized it wasn't only the "begots" but the family stories, recipes ... needed to be preserved and shared.
