Bio

I was born Oct. 6, 1937 in Houston,Texas. At the age of 17, I married W.W.(Bill) Forsythe and moved to East Texas where my husband was born and raised. I am the mother of three sons, and one daughter. Seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one deceased great grandchild. My husband and I were always very interested in Genealogy. On his paternal side we were able to go back to 1724 and went to all of the places that they had settled in the United States. From Scotland and Ireland to West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Mississippi, Louisiana, and then on to Texas.

On my paternal side,(Gifford)We also visited all of the places that they lived. We were able to go back to 1634 when my ancestor settled in Massachusetts. From there my direct line went to New York, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Illinois, Florida, and then Texas. All of our other lines,(to mention a few of mine are Arn, Peters, Koopman, Barwick, Robinson,Lyles, Parkman, etc., Bills side, Landrum, Johnson, Renfro, Franklin, etc.) have also been traced.

In early 2006, my husband was diagnosed with Glioblastoma 4, cancer of the brain. Very fast acting and no possible cure. He passed away in July of that year. It was a tremendous loss to me and my family. We were married 51 years, l month and 13 days.
