Clay was the son of Michael Lane Brewer and his wife, Betty Jean. He leaves a wife and two daughters as well a his mother, two sisters, a brother and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Mr. Robert "Clay" Brewer, age 39 of Alabaster, Alabama, passed away on November 5, 2012 after a 4 year battle of Metastatic Melanoma. Clay loved to spend time with his family and also loved golfing, Mississippi State Football and the Miami Dolphins. He was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church. Clay was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, and his daughters, his brother, sisters, stepfather, and mother He is preceded in death by his father; Mr. Michael Lane Brewer Sr.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 12:00 until 2:00 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with the services starting at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family request donations made to the UAB Cancer Research, Hunter Street Baptist Church or Gentiva Hospice.
