Actress. She moved from Canada to Hollywood during the mid-1930s and landed her first film role in the comedy "Three Smart Girls" in 1936, which starred Ray Milland and Alice Brady. Among films she went on to appear in were "The Man Who Cried Wolf" in 1937, "The Crime of Doctor Hallet" in 1938, "Sorority House" in 1939, "Curtain Call" in 1940 and "Too Many Women" in 1942. After changing the spelling of her last name to Reed, she appeared as Margo Lane in "The Shadow Returns," "Behind the Mask," and "The Missing Lady," all filmed in 1946. Her last film role was opposite Randolph Scott in the western, "Coroner Creek" 1948. She married and was divorced three times. In September of 1936, she eloped to Mexico with William Paul III, an artist, but they divorced two months later. Second, she married talent agent Bill Josephy in Santa Barbara on December 27, 1947 and the couple had two sons. On television she appeared in the 1951 series, "Racket Squad," where she met actor William Talman. They married in 1953 and had two children, but they divorced in August of 1960. She appeared in more than 20 films during her career.
