After attending Life Bible College, she moved to Muncie to held in church planting. This resulted in the beginning of the Foursquare Gospel Church. Her life was in total service to Jesus and her family. She served in many capacities for the church including leader, Sunday school teacher and pianist for over 50 years. Her service extended to area nursing homes where she played piano and read scripture. Doris was dearly loved by all who knew her.
Survivors include one sister; a brother; her four children; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie. Family and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Friday or one hour prior to services on Saturday at the mortuary.
