She received a BS in Business, was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority, and was one of the first women cheerleaders at the University of Nebraska. Jackie was a high school teacher for 30 years starting at East High School, in Denver. A Docent (volunteer) with Denver Public Library, a member of the Denver Social Register, and a member of the Episcopal Church.
