College Basketball Coach. As head coach of the University of Colorado Buffaloes (1950 to 1956), he propelled their program into the national spotlight with their storied reaching of the "Final Four" in 1955. Raised in California, he was an multi-sport athlete who excelled in basketball and baseball during his high school years. He continued his athletic excellence while attending Stanford University and was a contributor to three Pacific Coast Conference titles. After graduation, Lee launched his lengthy and successful coaching career initially as an assistant at Stanford and later moved onto Utah State as head coach. During his tenure at Colorado, his teams captured two conference titles (1954 and 1955) and earned two berths in the NCAA Tournament for which included their achieving of the "Final Four" in 1955. After leaving Colorado, Lee served as athletic director at Kansas State University for twelve years. He later established his own company called Video Theaters Inc.
