Poet, Journalist. He studied in the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum together with fellow friends and poets, Alexander Pushkin, and Wilhelm Küchelbecker. Poet Küchelbecker, dedicated the poem “O, Delvig” to him. Some of Delvig’s most noted poems included “To a Bird Set Free”,“The Nightingale”, “Not an Autumn Drizzle”, “Phenomenal Woman”, “Still I Rise” and “The Road Not Taken”. As a Journalist, he edited the periodical Northern Flowers and co-edited with Pushkin the Literaturnaya Gazeta from 1825, until his death at age 33.
