Mulock, June Elizabeth - 94, of Upper LaHave passed away peacefully in Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Bridgewater on April 13, 2012. June, daughter of John and Florence (Crouse) Rodenhizer (dec'd), was born at home in Conquerall Bank on February 22, 1918. After finishing high school, June attended nursing school at Yarmouth Hospital. Unfortunately, due to a hearing impairment, she was unable to complete her nurse training so worked as a personal care aide for several years until her marriage. She was happily married to Cecil Lemeul Mulock for 53 years until his passing in 1993. As Cecil spent most of the early years of their marriage at sea, she almost single-handedly raised her two sons, John and Wayne, of whom she was very proud. Living on the "Hill" in Upper LaHave brought her great joy. June had a strong faith and was an active member of Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, Upper LaHave. She was a long time member of the LCW. June spent the last years of her life as a resident of Hillside Pines in Bridgewater. June leaves to mourn her sons, John (Diane Fralick) (Bridgewater); Wayne (Jan McKenzie) (Upper LaHave) and grandchildren Jonathan (Dartmouth), Heather (Terry Pitts) (Vancouver), Amanda (Dunedin, New Zealand) and Jennifer (Ottawa) Mulock. Shiver will miss her frequent visits with "Nanny" at Hillside Pines, where she received many pats and treats from her place at the end of June's bed. June was predeceased by her husband, Cecil Mulock, children Marlene and Brenton Mulock; sisters Faye McCully, Joyce Inkpen and Velma MacLaggan and brother Simeon Rodenhizer. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Hillside Pines, who provided dedicated care and attention to June for many years. Visitation will be held at Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater on Monday, April 16 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral service to be at 2:00 pm, Tuesday April 17 at Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater , Reverend Ben Coltvet officiating; internment to follow at St. Matthews Cemetery at Upper LaHave. Family flowers only. June may be remembered by donations to Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, Upper LaHave, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
