He marked his professional debut on the Broadway stage with a minor part in the play "Camino Real" (1970) and launched his motion picture career in "Badge 373" (1973). During his years with "The Electric Company", Avalos was part of a cast which included such legendary entertainers as Morgan Freeman, Rita Moreno, Bill Cosby and Zero Mostel. He may be best known to film audiences for playing Ramon in the Dom DeLuise picture "Hot Stuff" (1979).
