US Congressman. Born in North Versailles Township, Pennsylvania, he graduated from Columbian University Law School, was admitted to the bar and commenced to practice law. He was Mayor of McKeesport, (1906-09), clerk for the courts of Allegheny County, (1909-15) and a delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1912. In 1915, he was elected as a Republican to the Sixty-fourth Congress, serving until 1917. An unsuccessful candidate for reelection, he resumed the practice of law until his death at age 71 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania.
