US Congressman. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was vice president of the Crucible Steel Company, engaged in banking and was trustee of the Dollar Savings Bank of Pennsylvania. In 1903, he was elected as an Independent Republican to the Fifty-eighth Congress, serving until 1905. Declining to be a candidate for renomination, he served as president of the Colonial Steel Company until his death at age 65 in Point Mouille, Michigan.
